Hanks Guitar Shop,27 Denmark Street,London,WC2H 8NJ

Denmark Street is a short street of Charing Cross Rd famous for its guitar and music shops.

Because of the works for the new Crossrail fast train link the way to get there from Exit 4 at Totenham Court Rd  is to turn right on New Oxford st, walk past the Tower block (Centrepoint) then turn right under the tower block on to St Giles High St, keep left at the Y Juction and then the first street on the right.

I am pretty certain the shop window is at Hanks Guitar Shop

17 Temple Underground Station and The Howard Hotel (site of)

Howard Hotel Temple Place (now closed down)  61:24

The Girls tried to have Afternoon tea at the The Howard Hotel in Temple Place next to Temple Underground Station (on the district and Circle line).

They couldn't get in because they had no booking, and would even have less chance now as the hotel has now closed down and is being refurbished and turned into something.

Temple Place is named after the Knights Templar.  The Temple is an area of central London, in the vicinity of Temple Church, which is one of the main legal districts of the capital and a notable centre for English law, both historically and in the present day. Two of the four Inns of Court, the Inner Temple and the Middle Temple, are located here and the Royal Courts of Justice are just to the north. temple Church was in the Da Vinci code.

We are now going to Tottenham Court Rd Underground station to visit Denmark Street (where the Guitar shops are), then go on to the British Museum.

Take a Westbound District or circle line to Embankment station, then take a North Bound  Northern line train to Tottenham Court Rd

At Tottenham Court Rd Station take Exit 4 to New Oxford St.

Photography on London Underground:
If you want to take photos of London Underground, no special authorisation is required in public access locations.   Do not use flash when photographing trains or stations.  Do not locate yourself in a place of risk.

Do not use flash as you can blind the drivers.

Incidentally the Underground will be 150 years old in 2012.

The London Transport Museum in Convent garden is also worth a visit, and you can use their Tube driving simulators. Great fun.

We will be going to Temple underground station.

Take a Westbound district line train (ie to Ealing, Richmond or Wimbledon).

14 Tower of London view of Tower Bridge and the Shard 69:19

There are a number of shots from the Plaza that forms the entrance to the Tower of London.

Apart front the Tower itself there is a view Tower bridge, and the Shard skyscrapper, still being constructed in the film, across the River next to London Bridge station..

A new building is being contructed in the Plaza so you no longer have such a magnificent view of the Shard.

13 Butlers Wharf Pier 79:43

There is a river scene showing Butler's wharf pier in the Concert, although it is nowhere near Jubilee gardens.

The scene must have been taken from Tower bridge, as you cannot see the bridge in the shot.

Butler's Wharf is an old warehouse on the south bank converted into luxury flats and restaurants.
